Thursday, August 7th: WZBC Countdown + 2 Featured DJs at River Gods

This Thursday is the first Thursday of the month, so it's time for another WZBC night at River Gods.
Monthly Countdown as usual from 10-11 p.m.
And 2 featured WZBC DJs before and after the countdown.
DJs this month are Justin Grotelueschen and Nick van der Kolk (aka DJ Sailor Pants) - co-hosts (along with John Purcell) of WZBC's Cafe of Shame every Sunday night from 10 p.m. to midnight (CafeofShame.org).

Justin will be spinning somewhat familiar, somewhat mellowed, somewhat ambient beat-oriented electronic musics that will gently massage your ear drums.

DJ Sailor Pants will bring you on an underwater adventure of delight. Meet dreamy-eyed naïve dolphins, mean old octopuses, frightening krakens, and the bumbling sea wizard Syd Barrett, and still get home in time for your mother to tuck you in. Your mother who loves you very much.

And by the way, Justin and Nick are also helping to organize a WZBC-sponsored event at the Dilboy VFW in Davis Square on Friday, August 15th:

Paradosaurus Wreck
featuring fashions on the catwalk from local designers
Stormcloud, Bring Rainbows, Joy Adams, BECKY, Julia Ramsey, and Karovan.
Plus live rock from The Flaming Fire, Deer Tick, and Andre Obin, and
dance partying with DJ Phil.
